Dear Kinky Salon Friends

We’ve been receiving emails asking what the theme is for our 10th December party and when tickets are going on sale. Some of you are so excited about the December event you have have chosen to celebrate your birthday parties with us and and others have already made plans to travel from far and wide to share in our arty sexy party.

The good news is that the party is definitely on and we’ve prepared a spectacularly hilarious theme for you. This will be announced next week ready for when tickets go on sale next Tuesday 8th November at 1pm. If you haven’t already become a confirmed member of our community please do so now as only people who have filled out the relevant form correctly get sent the ticket links.

As for the rest of the story… well, the past couple of weeks have been a rollercoaster ride of surprise, disappointment, stress and hard work for our crew. Right now we could do with all the support that you can give us.

Regulars will know that prior to our September party we put masses of time and energy into what was meant to become our new and permanent home. Unfortunately, despite us briefing the venue in writing as to exactly what Kinky Salon is all about, and despite them confirming the 10th December party with us, two weeks ago the venue manager decided to renege on the booking.

Suddenly we were without a home for Kinky Salon London and faced with a tough decision. Do we cancel the announced 10th December party… or do we pull out all the stops to make sure that we don’t disappoint everyone? After much deliberation and hard work, we chose the latter. Bear in mind that you can’t just walk into any normal club and book a night like Kinky Salon. But against the odds, we have managed to find a wonderful warehouse space run by an understanding bunch of people in a perfect part of town. It can take around the same capacity as our last place, caters to aerial and suspension performances, and we believe it is more accessible to wheelchair users than our last two venues.

In the absence of any ticket funds right now, our crew have put up their own cash to pay the venue deposit – at a personal cost of £2,000. The new venue doesn’t operate its own bar and so we will be running the bar ourselves. We’re going to make sure that the bar prices aren’t insanely high, we’ll still provide free water in the playroom and the rule against getting too intoxicated remains… but we need everyone to understand that the drinks you buy are an investment into the cost of running the party and will go directly to the non-profit Kinky Salon London organisation – not to some faceless corporation. . Even though our costs are certainly much higher, we’ve decided not to raise ticket prices from the £25 / £35 tiers we used last time. The £10 low income ticket will remain an option for those who wish to apply for it, and we’ll have a £10 ticket available for volunteers.

We believe in the future of Kinky Salon London and we, the crew, have put our own money on the line to make this party happen. If you share our vision, and if you can afford to pay the higher price for your ticket this time round, please do. It will free up more of the lower-priced tickets for those who simply cannot afford to pay any more. Kinky Salon London is still one of the cheapest parties of its type on the scene.

On Monday we’ll send you a mailout with details of the theme, the dressup inspirations and the ticket link… and on Tuesday 8th November at 1pm you’ll be able to buy your tickets. Please spread the word amongst your friends, make sure they’ve signed up, make sure they or one of their friends is ready to buy on Tuesday…. and encourage everyone to help us out in our hour of need!

Thanks for all your support,

The Kinky Salon London Crew
